The poll results

And we received an excellent response of a total of 18625 views, with 17274 votes.

The Poll

Here are crucial votes or opinions as per the motorcycle segment. And the data arrives via all the corners of the world.

The crucial data graph

  • Cafe Racer: 916 (5%)
  • Cruiser: 2184 (12%)
  • Scrambler:5461 (29%)
  • Sports:8713 (47%)
  • While 1351 (7%) people stayed neutral

The data provides crucial insight into the taste of the motorcycle community.

It is simple to understand from opinion polls as Sports takes the significant chunk of 47% in the segment, followed by Scrambler, Cruiser and Cafe Racer.

While there are reasons why many like Sports bike, and they are due to the modern look, sleek lines, agility, quick acceleration, less expensive than car well, this point could be debatable.

However, many motorcycle manufacturers now try to stack the giant displacement sports bike features into low displacement bikes.

And one of the recent examples is Kawasaki ZX-25r. The four-cylinder, 249.8cc machine makes 51 HP @ 15,500 rpm of power with 22.9 Nm @ 14,500 rpm of torque.

The machine is expensive to the pockets; however, we see the price may go down with adoption in the future.

On the other hand, with COVID disrupting effective plan. 2020 was not suitable for any industry, and we, especially here we are talking about motorcycles

World Motorcycle Market

As per Motorcyclesdata in 2020, the global motorcycle market, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lost 56.5 million, down 14% from the previous year, the 5th highest level ever.

In volumes, the industry lost over 9 million units due to the fall of few top countries: India (-5 million), Indonesia (-2.9 million), Philippines (-0.7 million), Vietnam (-0.5 million).

At the moment, we do see few manufacturers like Yamaha are struggling with the supply and chain.

At the same time, manufacturers like Ducati had made a positive start in the first quarter of 2021 by announcing 33% yearly growth.

COVID, for sure, is transforming the market, and another recent example we see is Hero MotoCorp unveiling the virtual showroom to provide a digital experience to their potential buyers.

Soon, we will also these manufacturers developing and adopting new business models.
