As you may be aware, the 2022 Ducati Lenovo MotoGP team is scheduled to launch its new livery at a test in Sepang. However, as has already been widely publicized, Jack Miller will not be attending due to his positive test for COVID-19. As a result of this news, the Ducati launch will also be delayed until a later date.
At the end of each MotoGP season, the multiple manufacturers unveil new livery designs as part of the presentation. The uniforms include the bike and helmet and a team racing suit.
Last year, numerous manufacturers teased the heck out of most of its testing races by releasing a series of primarily un-subtle hints about their new paint scheme. And now, just ahead of its rescheduled launch for February 2022, Ducati has followed suit with a teaser campaign.
Ducati has released a video of its upcoming MotoGP machine, the Ducati Grand Prix race bike, to debut before testing in February 2022.

At the same time, we see Italian test rider Michele Pirro astride the GP22 to gather data on performance and handling before the team’s official rollout, which is black.
On the other hand, Ducati Lenovo GP22 red hints at what we can expect from Ducati’s new MotoGP offering.
There’s something extra special about the livery of MotoGP bikes, and the new Ducati MotoGP bike will be no exception. Last weekend it was also Team Manager’s Davide Tardozzi’s birthday.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer just released a teaser video of what their new GP racer will look like, and the design is a step forward from the last effort.
The new livery is red with many white accents, but not in a way that makes it feel overbearing.
You can see the sponsor logos with Lenovo’s black background and white text. And then you can also see Netapp, Siemens, Givi, Carrera, SKF and many more.
To provide visual balance Back pad and saddle arrive in black. Given that we knew some of those colours would be coming down under.
I think it’s safe to say we can call this “teasing” instead of a straight-up reveal. Regardless, it sure is nice knowing how nice everything will look in the unveiling.
