Honda-H'ness-CB350

On Friday Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) made an announcement related to the recall of its premium H’ness CB350. 

The exact count is unknown. However, HMSI said the number of units manufactured between November 25 and December 12 is part of the recall.

According to Honda, the usage of a different grade material is detected in the 4th gear of the transmission.

And it has an impact on the running and usage of the motorbike. However, there are no reported cases of any failure yet.

For precautionary measures and to avoid any incidence of failure. Honda has decided to start a campaign from March 23, 2021.

Honda’s job is to replace the affected part which is the countershaft present in the 4th gear of the transmission.

Irrespective of the warranty the replacement will not cost any money to the owner.

Process

The company (HMSI) will notify the affected owners regarding the vehicle’s inspection via call, e-mail, and SMS.

Honda has requested the affected owners to reach out to the nearest service centre. If you’re the owner of the Honda H’ness CB350.

And would like to check if your vehicle is a part of the replacement campaign, then you can visit the official website of Honda.

By submitting the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on the official website, the owner can check if the model is affected or not.

If your bike is part of the recall, you can then pre-book a service appointment with the nearest centre, as per convenience.

Honda has launched the replacement campaign to enhance the ownership and riding experience for its customers.

Honda has started this voluntary recall to maintain the transparency of commitment and trust with the customers.
