Honda has a habit of making us wait a long time to see new entrants in bike classes.

It is part of the reason they’re poised to have an excellent 2022 model year. Thanks to the quick-as-a-wink release of its new NT1100 right at the tail end of 2021.

We’ve been waiting for confirmation of Honda’s upcoming N-Tourer (aka NT1100) for quite some time. Although the bike has reportedly already made it into production. We haven’t seen any official videos or details about how the bike will look.

The first official reveal of the NT1100 is set to take place on October 21, 2021. While it may take some time from hitting showrooms. We’ve rounded up everything we know so far about what Honda has in store for its ambitious entry into the world of faired ADV motorcycles.

The NT1100 looks set to be a serious contender.

But just how close would the NT1100 be to the Africa Twin? Details are scarce. Rumours in Japan suggested that the sport-tourer would sport similar design cues.

The NT in the name is derived from Africa Twin, and the ‘1100’ signifies a 1.1-litre lump that will power it. At the same time, NT stands for New Touring Era.

But will it be the same Water-cooled 4-stroke OHC (Unicam) 4-valve in-line 2-cylinder,1082 cc engine that we see in Honda’s adventure bike, or a different configuration?

It is already confirmed from the documents that Honda will utilize the same engine as the new Africa Twin and produce 101 hp.

That is still unknown but after months of deliberation. A short teaser of the motorcycle was revealed earlier this month.

The video shows a partial image of the new Honda sport-tourer.Confirming that Honda will launch the new NT1100.

The bike was developed using Honda’s technologies developed through ADVs.Further, the video also shows the tall windscreen for long hauls and protection against the winds while riding.

The teaser video also shows us the skid plate touring two auxiliary lights. The top case and the passenger backrest.

And with the trademark of “Transalp” by American Honda Powersports. It seems this is indeed the direction Honda will go with an upcoming model, which will likely be called the NT1100 Sport-Tourer.

However, we are excited to see what Honda has stored for us in terms of NT1100.
