The new Versys 1000 moniker arrived in 2012, along with a slightly revised styling.

A lower seat height on the base model is sure to be appreciated by more petite riders.

Further evidence of its go-anywhere notion is the Versys 1000’s 17-inch spoked wheels, wide handlebars and steeply raked forward-set footpegs.

All ensure that the Versys 1000 is a touring adventure bike you can comfortably travel long distances in relative comfort.

You have to deal with the styling of this Kawasaki. Many think the motorcycle looks all right, others rather dull.

I feel pretty positive about it, but I would rather have seen something else. But let’s turn back to the basics again.

The Versys 1000 Green has been known since 2012, which is now long enough in the tooth to be considered outdated.

So far, there are modifications towards the new generation, and they look noticeable at first sight.

Now, this is good news, quite a rare one at that. With S and SE versions, the base model for the following years will return.

And this will make enthusiasts happy as they can buy and ride the standard model without much-added components and tech.

On the other side, Kawasaki Versys 1000 arrives with cruise control, traction, LED and ABS.

It’s the safety net that ensures you get unstuck. I’m talking about traction control, of course—the unsung hero that allows you to safely explore more of an unfamiliar landscape or ride aggressively more often.

If you have ever skidded unexpectedly on some mud, sand, or gravel while riding your adventure-touring bike in some fashion.

Then you already know the value of maintaining forward momentum while navigating less-than-ideal terrain.

Further, it has a high windshield, heated grips, quickshifter and handguards.

With less equipment, the weight of the Standard model gets reduced by 2 kgs compared to S and SE versions with 253 kgs.

The inline four-cylinder powerplant calibrates to 20 hp and 102 Nm torque.

In Europe, the Versys 1000 arrives in a single Candy Lime Green / Metallic Spark Black paint scheme and will retail at Rs 11.55 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While in India Versys 1000 will have Candy Lime Green paint scheme and deliveries will start with mid-November 2021.

Further in Europe however, the price is 4,700 Euros low compared to the SE version.
