Lifan is such a great brand when it comes to machines in the entry-level segment. The company isn’t afraid to experiment and offer customers something they wouldn’t expect.
The most recent manifestations of this philosophy were the Lifan KPT450 and Lifan KPM200
Although the KPM150 Café is technically a retro-style motorcycle.It differs from other Lifan and other Chinese motorcycles bearing the retro aesthetic.
This bike has a particular style and quality that we don’t usually see in other Lifan models or projects by Chinese customizers. All while still retaining the café feel.
The Lifan KPM150 Café is an entry-level bike that sells for just USD 2,060. And comes in a black paint job.
The bike’s design takes inspiration from the café racer motorcycles built in England and France in the 1960s and 70s.
Engine
The KPM150 Café Racer is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid cool engine with a displacement of 149 cc that makes 18hp.
The KPM150 Cafe has all the basics for creating something unique. The model comes outfitted with a simple structure, large fuel tank, wide clipons, low-rise seat and tubular side covers.
The bike was designed with crucial visual elements inspired by popular Cafe racer motorcycles like the Yamaha XSR and Honda CB series.
As we’ve recently seen, such designs are all the rage lately, and retro designs such as this work particularly well.
But it wouldn’t be a Café Racer without the looks.And I’m pleased to report that the KPM150 Café doesn’t disappoint here.
The bike comes fitted with an attractive small windshield that blends into the headlight. Other aesthetic additions include tuck-n-roll seats, funky handlebars and blacked-out engine covers.
We also see the LED lights on the rear and front, LCD console, USB charging port.
The standard Non-ABS variant arrives with the CNY 11,980 ($1,870) while the ABS variant arrives at CNY 13,180 ( $2,060).
