Recently Hero, Honda, and Yamaha informed about the temporary suspension of their manufacturing facilities.

Royal Enfield has joined the club by announcing a similar brief hiatus because of the second wave of the Covid-19 virus in India.

The company has notified about the suspension. And decided to pause all the manufacturing and production operations in Chennai from May 13 to May 16, 2021.

Royal Enfield has set up plants in Thiruvottiyur, Orgadam, Vallam Vadagal, and other areas around Chennai.

During the temporary halt. The company will continue to carry out maintenance activities for all its facilities and operations.

The company doesnt face any issues while fulfilling the demands because all the retail operations are put on hold in many regions of the nation.

For resumption, the company will ultimately follow the guidelines provided by the government for the lockdown and will function accordingly.

The employees working for the corporate offices in Chennai and Gurgaon can continue to work from home.

For the latter days this year, Royal Enfield has big plans in context to the portfolio expansion.

We had observed RE testing multiple prototypes of their 350 cc and 650 cc ahead of the launch in the past.

The products that are on top of the discussions are the Hunter 350. The next-generation Classic 350, and the 650 cc Cruiser based on Interceptor 650’s platform model.

There may be a delay in the launch of the models because of the ongoing pandemic situations and the lockdown restrictions.
