Razgatlioglu dominated the weekend from start to finish. The young Pata Yamaha rider was never headed throughout the three days. 

The weekend started well for Toprak. Where he qualified accurately third fastest on an infamous track for having a relatively narrow opening lap. 

On Saturday, he won all three races with a masterclass of riding and overtaking.

Sunday turned out to be his pièce de résistance as. Razgatlioglu built a 23-point advantage over his leading title contenders Rea.

The final qualifying race saw Toprak finish first his best setting up a great chance to re-write history.

Razgatlioglu’s most incredible feat came after beating Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea. In the final race at French track, Magny-Cours.

Razgatlioglu and Rea maintained their co-leader position.Locking out both top ranks of the starting grid.

Toprak Razgatlioglu took an early, commanding lead. Setting his sights on winning and gaining maximum points as he now had only two outings to catch up with his rival Jonathan Rea. 

It was a decisive run: taking the front and seeing the second corner. As the only passing opportunity for those behinds.

  • Pata Yamaha’s Toprak Razgatlioglu, with 373 points leading the show
  • Followed by Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea with 360 points and
  • Ducati’ Scott Redding taking third with 298 points.
