BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS

The new BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure are the most wanted motorcycles in India. However, so far, BMW Motorrad has not launched the model because it was not compliant with BS6 emission norms that kick from last year.

Indians have been waiting for the arrival of the BMW R 1250 GS and Adventure for quite some time now.

As the German motorcycle manufacturer has promised the BS6-ready versions of its big bike.

The Euro5-compliant (equivalent to BS6 emission norms) model is already available in several international markets.

The R 1250 GS arrives with a Euro5-compliant 1,254cc air/liquid-cooled, flat-twin engine with BMW’s trademark ShiftCam technology.

The entire 1254cc calibrates to 134bhp at 7,750rpm power and 142Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. And we don’t see any changes in the model that is expected to arrive in India.

Features

The R 1250 GS features traction control, TFT display that has Bluetooth connectivity. Full LEDs, hill-start control USB socket, ABS Pro accompanied by three riding models Road, Rain and Eco.

The features that arrive as optional are dynamic brake assistant pro modes Enduro, Enduro Pro, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro plus heated seats and electronically adjustable suspension.

Further, the bike comes with an adjustable motorcycle windscreen, sizeable fuel tank, semi fairing, asymmetric headlight and shaft drive. The R 1250 GS will arrive with the alloy wheels, while the Adventure gets spoke wheels and tubeless tyres.
