According to the leaked documents filed at the US EPA revealed Triumph Motorcycles is building in what we see a new Street Scrambler flavour. ‘The Sandstorm’.

Expect this motorcycle on the road latest by 2021 or 2022.

The present Street Scrambler comes with a liquid-cooled, eight-valve, SOHC, 270° crank angle parallel-twin 900cc motor. The  motor makes a 65PS / 64.1bhp (47.8kW) @ 7500rpm and 80Nm @ 3200rpm.

The present Triumph Scrambler has ride by wire LCD multi-functional instrument pack with an analogue speedometer, engine rpm, odometer, gear position indicator with more indicators.

The right question to ask ourselves is What do we see new in the Sandstorm flavour.

Well, one thing we see is the present Scrambler is Euro4 which Triumph will upgrade to Euro5.

While Triumph may think about keeping the 900cc displacement, Euro5 means upgrades in engine and exhaust.

We may also see the Sandstorm gets some cues from the Tiger 1200 Desert special edition, especially the paint scheme.

Triumph may plan it to bring it with accessories like Arrow and some additional components.

We don’t see any change in the performance specs, and the Sandstorm will carry the same 900cc motor.
