Triumph unveils the much-acclaimed Tiger 850 Sport which was in the media during the last couple of months.
Well, the new Tiger 850 Sport is more sport and less offroad. However, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have offroad capabilities.
What’s new?
The base, as we know, is Tiger 900. However, there are things amended, and they are electronics. Then we see the 5-inch dash, Brembo sytlema’s for brakes, the entire lightning now is LED, the suspension comes from Marzocchi, the Traction control with deactivation mechanism.
Motor
The Tiger 850 Sport comes with T-Plane triple crank with particular 1,3,2 firing order.
The engine is 850 triple engine setup (Euro 5 compliant) which makes 85hp at 8,500rpm and 82Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

Electronic package
The state of the electronic package gets the latest ABS from Triumph and switchable traction control. Moreover, the Tiger 850 sport arrives with two modes Road and Rain. Further, it also comes with a slipper clutch.

The 5 inch TFT display is at your hands to show vital information. The ride by wire throttle control helps to maintain the fuel-air supply going to the engine which happens via sensors.

The Tiger 850 Sport, as said, gets the full LED package. Like the rear light, front headlight, blinkers. The package also has LED daytime running light as well as DRL mechanism. A 12v socket comes as standard.

Design/Chassis
A Tubular steel frame, bolt-on subframe gets support from a Twin-sided, cast aluminium swingarm. The front comes with the Marzocchi 45mm upside-down forks while on the opposite you will see Marzocchi rear suspension unit, manual preload adjustment.
Brembo power
Twin 320mm floating discs, Brembo Stylema 4 piston Monobloc callipers with ABS at the front and Single 255mm disc. Brembo single piston sliding calliper, ABS at the rear.
The single-handed fully adjustable windscreen offers 50mm variation to reduce fatigue. The Tiger 850 Sport has a 20-litre fuel tank.

Also, for better comfort, the rider can adjust saddle in two similar ways, and the same goes with handlebars. There are two paint schemes to choose from Graphite diablo red and Graphite caspian blue.

As far as accessories go, there are 60 official Triumph accessories and has two different pieces of luggage.

In the European region, the Tiger 850 Sport retails at Euro 11,650 while in the UK it retails at £9,300.
In Europe, the bike is available from February 2021.
