Euro 5 Engine

Yamaha is turning the MT-10 into a proper flagship naked bike with new styling.Euro 5-compliant engines, and upgraded electronics packages on both models.

The MT-10’s new face is about aggressive angular shapes. Sharp lines, and an LED headlight that perfectly complements the “Dark Side of Japan” vision statement created for Yamaha’s naked bikes.

The new MT-10 features a titanium exhaust system and an intake system with acoustically amplified grills that improves engine output. The MT-10 further increases power.Which is now 164 horsepower (121 kW) at 11,500 rpm and 82.6 lb-ft (112 Nm) of torque at 9,000 rpm.

A new ECU optimized for this new hardware has enabled smooth power delivery throughout the rev range.

Electronics

The six-axis IMU again arrives from R1 responsible for wheelie control, traction control, engine braking and slide control.

Yamaha has also made sure the new MT-10 has refined throttle ride by wire mechanism, via which you can choose four riding modes.

The new MT-10 also comes equipped with cruise control for long rides.A slipper assist clutch, a bi-directional quickshifter, Brembos and Bridgestone S22 tires.

And this could all be done via a 4.2-inch TFT console and new menu switchgear.
