Malaysia KTM today has unleashed its much-acclaimed 250 Adventure a younger sibling to 390 Adventure.

However, we don’t see any difference between the Indian 250 Adventure and the Malaysian 250 Adventure.

Let’s get in the nitty-gritty of the new launched 250 Adventure.

Motor

With 248.8cc, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke liquid cool motor can make 29.5bhp of power and 24Nm of torque.

Twin head camshafts, four-valve and electronic fuel injection together combined with balancer shaft, ensures smooth delivery.

Further, the Euro5/BS6 motor is lightweight and compact, facilitating a straight air intake channel. The engine is responsible for shortened distance for the air to flow in the combustion chamber.

It also allows making the engine warmer in less time. The fuel tank ventilation system and two catalytic converters help to reduce the emission values.

Additionally for durability, the 72mm piston is coated with DLC. The oil spray nozzle cools the crown while the piston arrives with the nickel coated low friction aluminium wet bushing.

To offer extreme reliability and low friction. The cylinder head follows the same tech as it is present in the 1290 Super adventure.

It comes with four valves actuated via durable finger followers by two overhead camshafts.

For consistent performance, the finger levers come coated with DLC. The BOSCH electronic fuel injection system made. In collaboration with DELL’ORTO 38 mm throttle body guarantees precise throttle response.

Electronic fuel injection helps to offer perfect throttle response. The slipper clutch saves power and prevents wheel chatter.

The versatile slim exhaust with aluminium sleeve positioned close to bikes centre of gravity.

Design and Chassis

The race-proven trellis frame is stable and ultra-lightweight and comes loan from the KTM 450 Rally.

The 63.5 ° steering head angle combined with 1430(+/-15.5 mm) suggests the 250 adventure is an offroad model.

The race-proven frame offers excellent agility.

The subframe is removable comes fixed with the mainframe with the help of four screws.

The mainframe and the sub-frame combine to form a lethal combination. To carry heavy luggage while negotiating the challenging conditions.

The rear swingarm is a die-cast open lattice which offers precise stiffness with excellent flexibility.
