Bajaj Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter

The Bajaj electric scooter in India, the Chetak, received a value hike last month, which has created its Urbane and Premium versions pricier by Rs 15,000 and Rs 5,000. 

At the same time, there was already a considerable increment. The Chakan-based bike maker has accrued the {costs for a better margin.

Price hike

The Chetak Urbane model now costs Rs 1,42,620, which is Rs 27,620 compared to the previous pricing. 

On the opposite hand, the Premium trim is currently dearer by Rs 24,620 and carries a tag of Rs 1,44,620 (both prices are ex-showroom, Pune). 

Until now, we do see Chetak in Pune and Bengaluru. However, the bookings are presently closed even in these cities. 

The corporate had recently re-opened the bookings but closed them when the complete batch was set aside at intervals of forty-eight hours. 

As per the brand’s recent social media post, Bajaj will soon launch Chetak in Hyderabad and the urban centre.

Regarding the school specs, it comes propelled by a 3.8kW motor. And Chetak gets all the required juices from a non-removable 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack. 

The delivery comes varied from this battery, and Bajaj claims 95km in Eco mode. 

Meanwhile, the max speed comes around 70kmph. The charging package of the Chetak includes an inbuilt charger placed underneath the seat.

In the high-speed electric category, the main competitors of Bajaj Chetak are Ather 450X in the premium and the TVS iQube.
