Benelli 2021 unveiled the standard R18i in Malaysia, and it arrives in red and black shade.
However, Benelli also has an exclusive edition available with blue aesthetics and yellow wheels with a grab rail.
In the Asian market, due to the huge demand for scooters and mopeds, it is beneficial. The design looks different when compared to other scooters in the segment.
It is eye-catchy, funky and at the same time aggressive with a compact structure. What more, the R18i comes with the LED headlamps.
The 174cc engine calibrates 18bhp at 9,500rpm and 15.1Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm and is supported by a 6-speed gearbox.
The LCD arrives with a blue backlit and is responsible for displaying the critical information.
The other specs include the 4.8-litre fuel tank, black levers and span-adjustable clutch.
The chassis duties are performed by underbone chassis and upside-down forks at the front and Kayaba mono-shock at the opposite end.
The step-through R18i has 17 inches wheel, 240mm and 220mm disc brakes on the front and rear end, respectively.
Apart from Malaysia, we may also see other countries getting the R18i.
