Electric motorcycles are the trend today however one challenge persists is to conserve the power for long.

Now to increase the power reserve that depends upon the size of batteries and that isnt easy . Weight of the batteries has to be managed.

However one thing we should keep in mind is the technology with wich the batteries are being developed in slow.

A team of bright students from Zurich University, Switzerland have a solution to it and they have developed a prototype of electric bike that conserves power for 400+ km.

They have also developed a special quick-charge system that can be recharged in an hour.

Team Ethec

  • The electric motor has 15 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
  • Batteries have oil cooling and thermoelectric system.
  • Seven inch sensor is added to the prototype.
  • It also gets a swingarm and a trapezoidal plug in front and lightweight tubular frame.

Also students from different streams like mechanical and electical conducted a researched that the front brakes elminate about 75% of the energy so a electric motor was integrated with front wheel that will help to recover kinetic energy.

The design is futuristic and uber cool and may evolve in future. As of now there is no news as to when will Ethec start the production.
