The fire gutted Harley Davidsons, Indians, Moto Guzzis, and machines altogether rarer.Ā
Motorcycle museum
It was one of the most devastating fires with the loss of history’s most valuable bikes since the British National Motorcycle Museum was gutted in 2003 when 380 motorcycles were lost.
Investigators conducted a few investigations. However, the medium that caused the fierce fire revealed a faulty display screen.Ā
Since the fire, the team did few reconstructions, evacuating all the burnt bikes and debris. The brothers’ Attila and Alban Scheiber are expecting to relaunch next winter.Ā
However, several modifications will intervene since the museum will gain 1,000 mĀ² of exhibition space from 3,000 to 4,000 mĀ² with a higher building.Ā
The brothers were also quoted in an article by the Telegraph talking about why they started the museum.Ā
“My brother and I had always loved old motorcycles. When our collection had grown to around 20 or 30, we thought about creating our museum. This is our way of making this dream come true”.
“It’s also very appropriate considering how many passionate motorcyclists come here to ride along the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road.“
They have owners claimed that they had received pledges from various collectors to get more than 230 bikes for reopening, as they aim to bring the broader crowd and not just bikers.
