Remember the KTM RC 8C, which sold out in just 4 minutes. And lucky 100 customers were able to grab the bike. However, we now have more images of the new KTM RC 8C. The cost of the motorcycle was 35,000 Euros.

While most motorcycle manufacturers are putting their best foot forward and seeking new innovative ways, KTM has taken an entirely different approach.

Rather than showing off new technologies such as electric power or telescopic suspensions. KTM has released a brand-new superbike that’s reminiscent of the original RC8 from years past.

Ready to Race

But Pierer wasn’t completely done. Always one to push the envelope. He decided to create an all-new sportbike that would continue KTM’s “Ready to Race” ethos.

Earlier this week, he revealed the new KTM RC 8 C. So, what makes these bikes so unique? Let’s take a look by examining their specs and features more closely.

The all-new RC 8C offers a highly dynamic design. High-quality details combined with innovative KTM motorcycle technology.

Weighing in at only 139.76 kg (308 pounds). It boasts an extreme level of agility at the race track — equally suited to one-make cup competitions or long-distance races.

Racing also imposes several special requirements on a motorcycle: extremely high output. Low weight and maximum precision. The new KTM RC 8C meets all those demands.

The bespoke 25CrMo4 steel tubular frame of the new KTM RC 8 C also arrives with a racing air filter, dedicated airbox, and a lightweight aluminium drymag wheelset.

What more?

Team Orange has put a composite subframe with a new subframe to keep the bike light. Which also helps centralize the mass for exceptional stability and handling.

Unlike Red Bull KTM and Tech 3 KTM MotoGP machines. The body takes inspiration from the carbon Kevlar-reinforced GRP bodywork.

Engine

Which makes it as light as 139.76 kgs apart from this. KTM has made sure the bike gets power with a cooled, eight-valve, 889cc powerplant. That calibrates to 128 horses and comes supported by a race tune Akrapovič titanium exhaust.

Brakes

With power comes solid brakes, and they are Brembo 290mm discs up front and 260mm rotors on the opposite end.

Further, KTM makes the recipe sweeter by adding the Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta radial master cylinder. Which you usually see on Sportsbikes.

The Corsa takes inspiration from the MotoGP and helps the brakes to adjust more conveniently with a top selector on the master cylinder.

Suspension

Let’s get on to the suspension as the new RC8 C gets the 43 mm WP Apex Pro 7543 closed cartridge fork. Now, this is done by the same team which has helped to develop RC16.

The unique WP provides zero hydraulic stroke limitation allowing riders to control the damping properties.

We see the WP APEX PRO 7746 shock on the rear, and they have separate high and low-speed compression.

Electronic package

The rider gets the race dashboard that has a data logger with GPS functions. The system is intelligent enough to collect, organize and display the data with the help of a five-inch TFT console.

Opportunity

Alongside the KTM RC 8C itself, customers also have the opportunity to join the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing test team at a once-off customer event.

Limited to only 100 customers, the exclusive event will give you a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride with the likes of Dani Pedrosa and Mika Kallio, as they give you tips during a full day at Circuito de Jerez.

Those opting for the KTM RC 8C race track experience will also receive the KTM RC 8C race track package.
