This bike is as close to brand new as you can get it. All items are in perfect shape as if they never used them.
No damage, no scratches, no wear on tyres, brakes, wires or anywhere. It’s like being the first rider.
Even if you’ve never heard of Steve McQueen or his motorcycle.I’m confident that the above image has given you some indication as to why. This bike is so different from any other classic Triumph you’ve ever seen.
You will never see a motorcycle like this at an auction. It’s not just because of its celebrity provenance but also because Triumph decided it would. Be too hard to place such an old-fashioned motorcycle into modern-day production.
There is no official word on how many units were made. And while we are unsure how much this particular unit will fetch. We know that there is almost no chance you’ll ever get the opportunity to own one of these.
The Triumph Bonneville T100 is a truly unique bike that’s unlike anything else on the road today. The bike arrives in a matte dark green paint job and has Steve McQueen’s signature on its side panels.
The bike also gets the side stand, front fender support, luggage rack and a black headlight bucket with mirrors.
The wheels are black and polished wire-spoke.And they arrive with 19 inches on the front and 17 inches on the opposite end. Metzeler tires accompany both wheels. Single discs on both ends perform braking duties.
As far as suspension goes, it has a standard fork and a dual springer rear setup.
The Triumph Bonneville T100 is an amazingly stylish machine powered by an 865cc parallel-twin engine that generates 67 horsepower and 50 pound-feet of torque. The bike also comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
It truly is a bike that’s willing to do anything you ask of it, and it does so with great style and character that exudes pure Triumph.
The sound the T100 makes alone could make anyone fall in love with the Bonneville experience.
And this special unit is 400th among the total of 1,100 units produced. The current bid is $8,500 and ends on August 31st.
