MotoGP tests started at the Finlands Kymiring track with all the six players taking an active part and having there one representative to test the behavior of the track.
Manufacturers and Riders
- KTM was represented by Mika Kallio
- Suzuki by Sylvain Guintoli
- Yamaha by Jonas Folger
- Honda by Stefan Bradl
- Aprilia by Bradley Smith and
- Ducati by Michele Pirro
The tests will also help Michelin to collect information on how the track will behave in different conditions.
Michelin can gauge the performance of the surface as well as tires.
Wet Conditions
In the afternoon the weather conditions were not good as the rain started and during the entire day, the track was dirty as well wet.
Rain tires were used by riders. However, Honda’s test rider Stefan Bradl was the first to crash at the KymiRing when braked at one of the corners.
Lap Times
- 2:10 – 2:12.
It could be a different picture when the conditions are dry and expected lap time will be 1:55- 1:58.
