In India, Royal Enfield is all set to launch its BS6 Himalayan 2021. The launch will happen on February 11.
The announcement was made on their social media handles.
We have been talking about the new Himalayan 2021 for quite a while now. The amended Royal Enfield Himalayan 2021 will arrive with new paint schemes.
Second and most important feature it may loan from the Meteor 350 is Tripper function. The tripper pod displays intuitively turn by turn directions—powered by Google Maps, and the Royal Enfield App connects smartphones with the motorcycle Bluetooth.
Tripper is a sophisticated navigation solution that indicates directions through an intuitive display system with an additional USB charging port on the bike.
Before a few days, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 2021 was already making its way to dealers.
And we could at least see Himalayan in the green paint scheme.
The current BS6 Himalayan has 411cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel injection engine and this motor make 24.3 bhp (17.88kw) @ 6500 rpm and 32 Nm @ 4000 – 4500 rpm max torque.
It is BS6, so we don’t see why Royal Enfield may change the motor’s performance specs.
Which does mean the Himalayan 2021 will arrive with two significant updates. One is the addition of Tripper, and the second is new paint schemes.
We also don’t see why Royal Enfield will change other components like the chassis suspension, brakes, wheels and more.
It indicates the new Royal Enfield. Himalayan 2021 will arrive with the earlier suspension like at the rear it has preload-adjustable mono-shock.
At the same time, the opposite end comes with telescopic front forks.
Further both the wheels come studded with single disc brake with dual-channel ABS.
17 inch rear and 21-inch front wheel arrive with wire-spoke wheels.
The price of current Himalayan starts from Rs 1,91,591 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
With fresh paint schemes and tripper function, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 2021 will get a premium price tag.
