While the rumors of 2020 Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR are getting fueled every day. We have some credible information about the upcoming CBR1000RR. Honda’s much ambitious project as it will rival to BMW S1000RR and Ducati’s much-acclaimed V4R.
Till date, Honda has applied multiple patents for its new Blade
- Patent for camshaft and electronically controlled suspension for CBR1000RR.
- Patents for center air ducts and aluminum & carbon swingarms are available.
- The variable valve mechanism is not one of the previous patents.
- There is also a VTEC patent.
- There is also a patent for the cam gear train for an in-line multi-cylinder engine that was filed at the same time as the AMT patent
Expected Power
In 2018 Japenese officials said that the CBR1000RR will come with 215PS and we can’t deny that as rumors in the motorcycle industry are also strong that it will cross 210HP.
Reduced Weight
While we have also been hearing a lot that the new model will be trimmed with a lot of fat shredded. Ideally, it should be between 190 to 200 kgs as its closest rivals S1000RR is 200 kg and V4R is 193 kg and we won’t be even surprised if it matches the weight of V4R or even will be lighter than the V4R. Also, it may come with a carbon cowl.
Test Rides
We have also heard that the test rides will be carried out on the Suzuka Circuit full course accompanied by the briefing of the new CBR100RR. Well, we are excited.
Announcement
It will be announced at the October Motor Show. The 2020 model is a model equipped with VTEC and DCT-like items, and it will be released from the second half of 2019 to the beginning of 2020.
Now there is the trick here the sources have said that the SP2 model will be unveiled initially followed by standard model later.
Price
SP is pretty amazing & rumored that the price is over 3.5 million yen in Japan which is over 32K USD.
