Born in 1981, “Katana” Japanese for the sword is the brainchild of Hans A. Muth BMW’s ex-chief designer.

The entire intention to bring this bike on the motorcycle scene was to provide a better rider experience with the new design.

Elder KATANA

In 2020 Katana is resurrected with a new look, although keeping the old DNA intact.

We took this out on the streets of Sydney, Australia, to get a better experience and understand man and machine ideology. Here is our entire review.

However, now our friends from Young Machine have made the Katana small yet more meaningful that they call as Katana 125.

The base model to help here is the Suzuki GSX-S125. Although the front changes, the Suzuki GSX-S125 is the best match for the Katana.

1981 – Suzuki Katana

The cover picture of our article is rendering from Young Machine folk’s actual design may vary.

Small KATANA

But we feel the engine and other maximum components will be used from Suzuki GSX-S125.

Japanese media is quite positive that the rendering will enter into production. Right now, we don’t know the effective date and price.

Our estimate is Suzuki will come up with the design and enter into production in 2020.

The price of Suzuki GSX-S125 in India is INR 80,000 Rupees, which is close to 123248.00 Yen in Japan.

Do expect the price rise of the new Katana 125R that we think could be ideal in the bracket from INR 80,000 to INR 1,50,000 in India and could be 231090.00 Yen in Japan. These are our thoughts the prices and launch dates may change.

If this comes early, this is going to be another cult model for Suzuki.
