Triumph all set to bring the Trident 660 to India tomorrow

Tomorrow on April 6th, Triumph is all set to bring its middle displacement naked Trident 660 to India. Triumph has unveiled the price, which starts from INR 6.75 Lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Let’s take a quick look at its features.

Engine

The 660c, Liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder comes from the Street Triple 675. We understand the motor isn’t new; however, Triumph has updated around 67 components.

Plus, the Trident 660 gets a new exhaust altogether, wherein the exhaust gets narrower at the bottom.

Further, it has a committed electronic system.The 660cc motor is capable of building 81 PS / 80 bhp (60 kW) @ 10,250 rpm and 64 Nm @ 6,250 rpm.

The bore stroke is 74.0 mm * 51.1 mm with 11.1:1 as compression. The 6-speed transmission gets support from the slipper clutch, and an up/down quickshifter, too, is available.

The excellent part of the new Trident 660 has 10,000 miles (16093.44 km) service interval. We believe it is one of the most significant advantages, and compared to its rival, it is high.

Design

Rodolfo Frascoli made sure the roadster comes with a compact design and aligns with the old Trident.

The chassis comes built upon an all-new Tubular steel perimeter frame. Chassis gets support from the twin-sided, fabricated steel swingarm.

The suspension gets the Showa units with  41mm upside-down separate on the front and mono-shock RSU, with preload adjustment at the rear.

Combined with ABS, the braking duties are performed by Nissin two-piston sliding callipers, twin 310mm floating disc on the front, and the opposite end gets Nissin single-piston sliding calliper, single 255mm disc.

The 17-inch wheels get the Michelin Road 5 tires with size 120/70 at the front and 180/55R17 at the rear when it comes to wheels. With a 14l fuel tank, the Trident 660 has 189 (wet weight) kg.

Electronic Package

The Multi-function instruments with colour TFT round dash goes with the entire curvy and sharp lines of the Trident 660. The round TFT has a white on black display.

The MyTriumph system brings Go-Pro control, plus phone and music operation and turns by turn navigation.

Trident 660 gets two handy riding modes, Rain and Road, with ride-by-wire and switchable traction control

The headlight and the rear LED light bears the Triumph logo. The blinkers have the function to deactivate automatically.

Colours

It is available in four different colours the Cyrstal white, Sapphire black, Matt jet black /silver, and the last option is Silver ice diablo red.
