 Volkswagen separates from Ducati

In the important news, the German automaker Volkswagen separates from Italian Ducati.

Since 2012 after its acquisition, Ducati was under Volkswagen.

The German group president, Herbert Diess, said: “We are working on the legal structure of our Italian brands”.

The statement also indicates there are chances that they may revive Ducati, Bugatti and Lamborghini. However, we are unsure of how this will happen.

It is said the Dieslgate and Covid-19 pandemic has pushed Volkswagen to take this step.

Dieselgate has cost Volkswagen more than 30 billion euros. Despite the overall strategy, the discussion of the thermal vehicle did happen.

In the current state, the future of these Italian brands remain remains unclear. However, when it comes to investment, Volkswagen has already announced 150 billion and they plan to invest 73 billion in digital and electric segment.
