Vinales ( Monster Yamaha) and Zarco ( Avintia Ducati) made most of the opening MotoGP free practice session at Portimao.
However, Rossi, Rins and Nakagami were not so lucky and fell during the FP2 session. At the same time, Nakgami fell on his left hand and have sustained injury.
When it comes to manufacturers standings, we see Ducati and Suzuki have locked horns each with 201 points in the table.
If Suzuki stays on top in manufacturers table, it would be more than three and a half decades since last it won in 1982. At the same time, if Ducati and Yamaha win, it would be the second time, since 2007 and 2015.
While Mir is already the 2020 MotoGP champion, however, the second place is still open with Moribedlli having 142 points followed by Rins, Vinales, Quartararo, Dovizisio and Esparagaro with 138,127,125,125 and 122 points.
Bradl replaces Marc Marquez as we already know while Iker Lecuona stays away due to Covid-19 positive test. Kallio takes his place.
We also saw Savadori and Bradl riding the GP bikes while the rest were on road bikes.
