Honda Malaysia has unveiled the new version of CBR250RR in Malaysia and today will take a look at each feature of the bike. The current version is not the Honda CBR250RR SP.

Motor
The 249.7cc, liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC in-line twin-cylinder engine comes designed to pursue absolute performance. The motor comes mated to 6-speed manual transmission.

High compression ratio and the adoption of a high-strength carbonized connectors enable a maximum output of 30 kW (40.23 hp) @ 13,000 rpm and maximum torque of 25 Nm @ 11,000 rpm.
It comes with the novel dual exhaust design, developed with particular attention to the exhaust sound. The exhaust sound is powerful in the low rev range and the dramatic sound reminiscent of a racing machine in the middle to high rev range.

Frame and Design
Honda provides the Diamond (Truss) frame for its new novelty. Lightweight aluminium swingarm with gravity die casting provides the CBR250RR with the strength and feel.

The new CBR250RR also comes with the stylish and high-quality inverted front fork. The rear mono-shock comes equipped with a 5-step preload adjustment mechanism.

To improve confidence during braking. Braking duties come performed by wave-shaped disc brakes equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).
The front has hydraulic disc dual-piston, ABS while the rear comes with hydraulic disc single-piston, ABS.
Tires are 110/70-17M/C (54S) (Tubeless) at the front and rear are 140/70-17M/C (66S) (Tubeless).
The seat height is 790mm, while the ground clearance is 145mm. The new CBR250RR gets a large fuel tank with 14.5 litres capacity.
The entire package weighs 168 kgs.

The LED dual headlight, which is the identity of the CBR series, gives an aggressive impression.

The LED tail lamp and a sharp rear body appeal to the overall aggressive design of the CBR250RR.

A fully LCD digital meter improves visibility and imparts a wealth of information such as gear position, fuel consumption, riding modes and much more to the rider.

The assist slipper clutch contributes to reducing the operating load of the clutch lever. And a slipper function that reduces rear-wheel hopping which results in a smoother and comfortable ride.

A specially designed quick shifter controls fuel injection timing. And ignition timing via electric signals to realize faster and more precise shift changes.
Throttle-by-wire system controls the throttle’s opening via an electric signal for precision to ensure gluck and stable acceleration.

There are three riding modes and rider can opt these modes as per the riding style.
- Sport: Standard mode to enjoy all-round sports ride, utilizing the electronically controlled throttle-by-wire system.
- Sport +: Traveling mode that emphasizes powerful acceleration.
- Comfort: Suitable running mode for a comfort-oriented ride such as during tandem.

In Malaysia, the new CBR250RR is price 25,999 Malaysian ringgit close to Rs 4.72 lakhs in Indian currency.
At least soon, we may not see the new CBR250RR in India.
