While more power is always excellent, the significant advantage of the new Hi-Output over the stock slip-on is customization.

V&H designed this exhaust to be more than just a louder alternative and more of a proper performance upgrade.

Vance & Hines claims that the Adventure Hi-Output can produce reduced back pressure compared to the stock exhaust, along with reduced “power-robbing popping.”

Vance & Hines touts the Adventure Hi-Output as their quietest slip-on, at least after emissions are introduced.

The company claims it has the same look, calibre of build quality. And the same price as their other offerings, many of which are already available for Pan America riders.

If you’re curious about how it sounds or looking for an alternate exhaust option for your Pan Am. Vance & Hines shared this video of Pan Americas  exhaust (50 seconds).

The bike, primarily used to shakedown. The product before its official launch, runs Vance & Hines’ 4.5-inch Slant Shorty slip-on exhaust.

What does the exhaust offer?

The 4.5-inch diameter slip-on also trims 6 pounds off the adventure bike.

The exhaust’s slimmer shape isn’t only eye-catching.It also yields better boot clearance while accommodating the factory saddlebags and centre stand.

The Vance & Hines Adventure Hi-Output 450 delivers. A substantial increase in horsepower and Torque vs the bike’s stock Revolution Max exhaust system. While reducing the overall weight of the exhaust by nearly 6 lbs.

While Vance & Hines has been a staple in the Harley aftermarket for a long. This will be their first crack at the adventure market.

I’ve followed Vance & Hines over the last few years. And have nothing but respect for their craftsmanship and innovative engineering solutions.

Whether they can re-create that success. With a non-Harley branded motorcycle remains to be seen.

That being said, they have a track record of success, and I’m putting my money on them to do it again.
