The current version of Superleggera had a lot of positive inputs from the motorcycle community. In September 2019 the new Ducati V4 Superlegerra was spied and we raised questions about it on will it be.

  • Will it be the 998cc V4R engine, or will the 1103cc engine get the lightweight treatment and aim for a 245hp monster.
  • Maybe a carbon fiber swingarm similar to the 1299 SL, €100k price tag.

Now things are very clear and we were very close in terms of analysis. The new Panigale V4 Superleggera weighs 173 kgs.  However, we are not sure how the weight is calculated as this weight is too high. We feel the weight is still the rumor and may get reduced to below 160kgs.

The current version has 167 Kgs of wet weight and comes with 215 hp of power. The current version also gets a fuel capacity of 17 liters.

With the new V4 Superlegerra the power may go beyond 235hp. The new V4 is also expected to get the Akrapovic exhausts.

The documents that Bennetts reflects shows 165 kW (ie 224 cv) at 15,250 rpm. The release date is expected to be around 2020. We initially thought Ducati might release this new V4 Superlegerra on October 23, 2019, we are wrong.

The price is still under the wrap but we expect to go beyond € 80k.

It will be interesting to see how the new Ducati V4 Superlegerra turns up. Again will it be limited edition or Ducati will mass-produce this bike will be a question? We think it will be a limited edition bike.
