Anyone who’s ridden a Royal Enfield will tell you they make one of the best cruisers around. Sure, they can be quirky with their disc breaks and always neutral transmissions. But once you’ve gotten the hang of them, you’re all set.
And now it looks like the firm is set to release a 650cc model. Which will pump up the ante on that formula.
They’ve just signalled some testing action with an undisguised mule spotted next to the upcoming Scram bike.
650 Cruiser
Like we mentioned before, it has been caught on numerous occasions now and still doesn’t look ready to go.
As per the information from Gaadiwaadi. The cruiser will be powered by an engine displacing a parallel-twin 650cc,270-degree crank.
And will make around 47bhp and 57Nm of peak torque. That power goes to the rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission.
We expect to draw inspiration from the KX Bobber Concept showcased at Milan, Italy’s EICMA 2018 motorcycle show for the new cruiser.
The design looks like it comes transported out of a vintage comic book. The front and rear rims will be 19 inches and 17 inches, respectively.
Scram 411
The road version of Himalayan 411 will receive a single cylinder 411 cc engine that.Unlike the present Himalayan, we feel will possibly make 24.31 PS @ 6500 rpm and 32 Nm @ 4000 – 4500 rpm.
The only thing here changes over here is the exterior design and the aesthetics. As far as the prices go, the 650cc cruiser will be around 3-3.5 lakh, ex-showroom.
Not to mention Royal Enfield also plans to bring the Hunter 350 in future.
