Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is all set to enter the American market. It comes after Royal Enfield had made themselves available in Japan.
However, in Japan, we won’t see the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350. We will see these five models.
- The Interceptor 650
- Bullet 500
- Classic 350
- Continental GT 650 and
- Himalayan
Last year in November 2020, Royal Enfield had unveiled its much-acclaimed 350 cc Meteor. Further now in the US, starting next month, Royal Enfield will sell their Meteor 350.
Features and price of the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350
In the US, the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will also be a cost-effective model. The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in the US comes priced at
- The standard variant comes at $4399, which is close to Rs 3.27 lakh
- The stellar model comes at $4499, which is again close to 3.35 lakh while
- Supernova model will cost $4599, which is Rs 3.42 lakh
Royal Enfield will sell these models through their showrooms.
The engineers at Royal Enfield wanted to create a progression and evolution of Thunderbird. The Meteor is the next generation a one step above the Thunderbird.
It’s a sort of new Enfield, much smoother with fewer vibrations and refined. With a low-speed character and the exhaust note’s beat and you are on the traffic signal, you turn around, and you know it’s the Enfield.
The Royal Enfield engineer added the shaft to feel smoother higher up and retain the much character low down the beat.
While the engine is 349cc, a single-cylinder, air-cooled, long-stroke motor makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm of peak torque.
Take 80% of max torque for the UCE. The new engine has spread of extra 1000 rpms. In addition to the old 350cc engine, there is high rpm/low vibration, and it is much comfortable to maintain high speeds.
Royal Enfield is also working on two more motorcycles on the same Meteor platform, and in coming years, we may see these two motorcycles in the US.
